Gadgets

I've been exploring these gadgets that are available here with blogger. I'm amazed at what can done. There are too many to go through it's easy to waste time away here. I've settled on two gadgets because of the lovely colours in each picture - Flowers Photo Gallery and Pretty View of the Day. They stand out beautifully against the simple white background.
I hope whoever visits this blog enjoys them as much as I do.

To celebrate the opening of my new auction site store Timeless Treasures I have put together my first competition here. There are lots of gorgeous prizes to win with a lovely secret surprise package included Total value of prizes is over AU$250.
There will be Three (3) Main prizes, plus Nine (9) consolation prizes. This is because I’d love to send out out lots of prezzies to as many of my readers as possible. And seeing we’re getting so close to Christmas wouldn’t you love to receive something special just for you!

It’s quite easy to enter - The most interesting comments will win. You can add to your winnings by notching up bonus entries for the consolation draws. Simply follow these steps below - then do one or do all of them, it’s up to you. Read on to see how many entries you can get. The more you do the more chances you will have of winning something special.

Blog Competition Rules & Conditions.
* This is a combined judging and drawn competition. First, Second and Third prizes are judged on the most interesting comments. Bonus entries go into a draw for the consolation prizes.

* Maximum number of prizes per entrant is 3 (three).

* The competition is open to anyone who has a blog or website, both Australian and International. (absolutely excluding inappropriate and adult themes). Postage for prizes is paid by EP Designs.

* Entries open Monday 10th November 2008 & close Monday 1st December 2008.

* The winners will be announced on Wednesday 3rd December 2008.

I've updated my profile a little and have been thinking about baking scones. Don't ask me what the connection is, but I've realised it's something I haven't baked for some time. It's a simple recipe and not a difficult food to make. It's funny how it's the simple things that we tend to forget about in life.

It's those simple things that can make the difference in anything we do. Just like the shop assistant who took the extra time to wrap a gift I'd bought even though it was not part of the 'service'; or the people who are happy to say 'Hello' when you pass by on a walk. And it's those simple things that usually don't cost us anything and will actually make us feel good.

So what does making a batch of scones got to do with anything .... nothing really, lol, except I may just get around to making some and sharing them with neighbours.

Another Addition to Blog Roll

A new pro life group has been founded by Vincent Stefano called Youth for Australia.

We are young people who care for our country and our communities. We have a care for others, and a love for life. We proudly (yet humbly) strive to work for good and stand for justice.

This is a worthy cause to fight for the rights of the unborn and to help and support the women who find themselves troubled. They are also members on Xt3 and have a following there. To find out more about this group visit their Blog. They seem like an enthusiastic group of youth willing to work for justice.

Addition to the Blogroll

I've come across a blog called Precious Treasures. It has a lovely, warm, friendly feel to it and I'm sure it would appeal to anyone who is Catholic. There is a beautiful picture of Our Lady of the Southern Cross and an inspiring story to accompany it. There is also a story about a youth group called Youth for Australia which sounds very interesting. I wish them well with their group.

This is the second blog added to my blogroll. Of course I have to admit this blog belongs to a friend of mine and I am happy to share it with you.

Stumped for Words

I thought perhaps I would have a multitude of snippets to write about here but I'm stumped for words. Is this something all bloggers go through? With a life full a eventful family life there would have to be an exciting, interesting or funny story to tell. If I don't get inspired soon I may have to forget this blogging business alltogether. I have enjoyed reading other blogs. I am at awe at how much work some blog owners have done to make their blogs look fabulous .... hmm, maybe I'll return next time with a 'show and tell' of some the more interesting blogs I've found. This may be the warm-up I need..... until next time then.

EP's Treasures Plugboard

I don't know if I'm game enough to add a plugboard here just yet but I'll 'plug' it (pardon the pun), for now. I braved it and added this blog to EP's plugboard.
You need an image and the url to your blog and away you go - hit the button and your blog is added to the plugboard. It's a cute idea so if you too then go to EP's Treasures and add your blog.

My First Blog

This is not only my first post but I'm writing this for my first blog. Encouraged by a friend of mine at EP's Treasures and EP Designs I decided to go ahead and give it a go. I'm not a homeschooler or WAHM like my friend but she insists I'd have plenty to talk about. Well, we'll see, only time will tell. I'm off to investigate this blogging business and make notes on lots of 'interesting' snippets of news for you. I hope I can make this blog into enjoyable reading for you.
